I came across that drive on CL for $360Cdn($280USD) and was wondering whether it would be a considerable upgrade. $360 is a lot, but still significantly cheaper than other SSD's. Please advise on whether or not you think this is a worthwhile upgrade, and whether or not I will run into any issues.

I have a unibody 2.0GHz MB with the 4GB RAM upgrade and stock 160GB 5400RPM drive.

your paying money to loose hard drive space. It doesn't sound like a "worthwhile" upgrade to me.
I guess you have to ask yourself if having a SSD makes up for the lost hard drive space.

Well I didn't think drive space would be an issue as I'm just planning to put the current MB HDD in an enclosure and have all my media externally and just my apps on the SSD.

That drive has scored pretty good in benchmarks.

Have a look at THIS other thread of mine to find tons of info on all the latest SSDs available.

To me 40GB is a lot to give up but if you say you don't need the space then go for it

I meant that I would not be losing any space, but instead having an additional 160GB external drive.

I see exactly what your saying. It just sounds silly to me kinda!? I dont know...
I guess you could use the 160GB external for TimeMachine backups.

Sorry I didn't emphasize, but my MB primarily just sits beside my ACD, and I already have a 500GB external drive attached to it. I'd simply be adding an addition 160GB drive to have even more storage for my media. 120GB is more than enough for the OS + Apps. Especially with Snow Leopard :D

Well then I would say go for it. I havent searched anything on SSD's but that seems like a decent price.
