Hello! I am currently running Final Cut Express 3.5 on my 2.2ghz MBP. It is in the process of exporting, using QuickTime conversion, a 45 minute video. So far, after about 2 hours, it is 31% and the estimated time remaining says 5 hours. Is this normal. Also, would Final Cut Express 4 be faster? Is it, like, optimized for multicore? Is FCE 3.5 optimized for multicore? Would it be worth it to upgrade to FCE 4 on speed reasons alone? I don't need the AVCHD support and stuff. Thanks for all the help!

I'm wondering the same thing, "is it really worth it?" I didn't think about rendering times, I was wondering if it was the 3rd party plugin support. Rendering time hasn't really been bugging me lately, but there are some neat, free plugins I'd like to use and they're fce 4 only.
