Trying to gauge the worth of a gently used Iphone 13 Pro. Wanting to get Iphone 14 Pro. This one is the 128 version. If the battery was replaced for free on a new replacement phone what would it be worth in the open market. I would also include the box and cable .and include a UAG case.

I suggest searching similar Completed Listings (i.e. products that have actually been sold) on eBay. That should give you a pretty good benchmark.

I looked on marketplace what they were being sold for.. 90 percent were the max’s. Prices all over the place.

For future reference do not wait until after September to try to sell your previous year iPhone. I always enter the marketplace the last 2 weeks of August and always get top dollar. The key is getting it sold before the new iPhone event. If any of you have had luck after the new phone has been launched and got better than what trade in offered I’d be interested to know.

Timing is a huge factor.

Interesting advice although I question how many would sell their phone and then be without one until the new ones ship.

Apple’s trade in offer for the iPhone 13 Pro is $600 no matter how much storage (pretty sure about the storage being a non-factor). I purchased an iPhone 14 PM but didn’t even consider that low offer. I feel pretty confident my 256GB Pro will sell for more than that when I decide to do it.

Of course my cell carrier was offering way more but we all know the plan attachments they require which is always a non-starter for me.

If it’s in excellent condition with no screen or body scratches or dings, I would think a 128GB model would be somewhere around $700. Depending on the overall condition YMMV.

That is my thinking… I have a senior phone manager calling me tomorrow about my battery.. it has never charged to 100% ever.. so wondering if I should go to this much trouble to maybe get 100 dollars more for mine to get the 14 pro..

I am thinking 700 dollars.
I had a hard time selling a practically brand new 13 PM in the D.C area for that. 13 Pro models are discounted by $100 at carrier stores like Verizon as well to clear out stock. I wouldn’t expect more than what Apple would give you but at least it’s cash vs gift card. $700 and you’ll be sitting on it for a while.

That's true in the U.S. but in other countries, Apple trade values are actually adjusted for storage size. It appears that Apple's U.S. trade values are around the midpoint between lowest and highest storage. I'm not sure why Apple doesn't adjust for storage here.
