Hi there,
Just wondering how much life I would get out of a 2 year old 30" HD CInema display, I really dislike the glossy LED ones.

The buyer has put it ' as new ' it has been used as a showroom model.

What you think?

2 year old HD display? Are you talking about the 30" Aluminum ACD? That is not really "2 years old" in the sense that it hasn't been updated in ages. However, if he bought it 2 years ago then I would still buy it for the right price.

Apple Care?
Price?
Showroom model? What showroom? That could lend to heavy use or little use.

I would rather have a moder 27 inch cinema display. I have seen the two directly next to each other and the cinema seems to have better contrast.

That being said for the right price I would jump on one. I almost snagged one for $500 on craigslist last year.

yeah I'd definitely pick it up for 500 and I already have a TB display

Yeah I was bummed. I was set to buy it as soon as I got off work but someone beat me to it by 45 minutes. I have a 27 inch iMac and didnt need it, but as we all know too much is never enough.

I still have a Sony 17" LCD monitor i purchased in 2001 (for $1900, lol) that is still working just fine (its not my primary screen of course though! :D).

A 2 year old screen should be fine.
