Just received my refurb maxed out late 2013 rMBP with 2.3ghz i7, 16gb ram , 500 sad. Im still within my return period so was wondering if it was worth the hassle to exchange it for the new 2014 rMBP refurb which has roughly .2 ghz more of speed and is 100$ more than what the 2013 is priced at now. Is it really worth it?

Short answer - no.

THe speed increase does not justify an addition of 100$

ok good to know. i know MacBooks in general hold their value well, didn't want to make the mistake of buying a year old model and have the newer model be much better for roughly same price.
