seriously?
The update is not worth what you'd loose on the 2010 mbp, unless you have money to burn and simply what the latest of everything. It has been pointed out that apple does a complete redesign every three or so years and the 2012 mbp will/should follow that trend. Lord, you must go crazy when the automakers announce their new models.

I've got something similar I just bought (last Monday) the base i5 antiglare MacBook pro
I fall under the 14 day return.
I'm not much of a geek (yet) and Idk know the diff between my dual core i5 and the quadcore i7.
Will the improvement be obvious ??
I use mine for running multiple applications at once
Such as
ITunes
Indesign
Illustrator
Photoshop
Should I try and see if I can get the new version for free??
Thanks

I would try since you are in the 14 days but I would not sell for one...they have nothing great and Quad Cores mean nothing if you arent a heavy user on PS and Illustrator.
I am a heavy user of both.
And use 3D effects. Will it help render those faster?
And thank y'all for the replies
Just gotta see if they will waive the restocking fee cause I'm a broke college student and have been scrimping and saving for this computer for about a year now.

Are you having trouble on the dual core?
Just curious how you have been saving for your macbook for a year and you decide to purchase one right before the update? It's been pretty well known that a update was coming now. Either way, you should return it if you are still in your return window. By the time we have benchmarks to see if it's a worthy upgrade, your return window may be already gone.
I needed it for two projects in class or I would have failed because my "group" are not doing their share (about 6 hours of work each. Totaling my work to about 24 hours) . I had no choice but too order

it's never worth it monetarily speaking. You're bound to lose money along the way.
Title basically says it all...
Check my signature for my current configuration. Is it worth the trouble to sell my current 2010 MBP to fund a 2011 MBP?
