Hello

I have been using my iPhone 6s for the past 3 years. The battery was replaced under Apple's special program for free. It's still at 100% health level. Is it worth upgrading it to XR?

I am a boring mid-age man - no games, no social media, etc. I bought an XR for my wife, but I don't think the new phone dramatically change the user experience? It does the same thing that my old 6s does, and pretty much as well as the 6s for my usage.

Is it me or the phone? Is it worth the cost to upgrade?

Doesn't sound like you're too enthused about it. Unless you're heavy on photography... I don't think so?
I'm still using a 6s and due to the iPhone price-hikes, I'll likely use an iPhone until it dies or becomes irritatingly sluggish to upgrade.
I got my 6s a new battery, a new case, and upgraded to iOS 12 and it still feels like a "new" phone.
There's also this suspicion that Apple will reduce the notch next year and I'm guessing I wouldn't want to be stuck with the screen intrusion for 3-5 more years after they release a more elegant solution.

I am still used to the subsidized iPhone cost.
