I bought one of the first M1 pro MacBooks last year and I really love it! The speed and the amazing battery life!
I only got 8/512 version and since I love my touchbar I am thinking would it be worthwhile to trade it in for a 16/512 while it still has the touchbar and I get new warranty and new battery or is this crazy thinking? Is it worth while to upgrade the ram since I plan to have it for many years?

For once I am not eager for the 14” version, the 13” is just fine and seem to have better battery life and it still retain the touchbar and a lighter laptop. Current 13” pro is the best mac laptop I ever had and I have a few!

Thoughts?
Am I crazy to even consider this or should I just keep it and in a year or two see what the new 13 would be? Don’t really see myself spending $2k on the 14” one.

Run activity monitor while you are doing your most demanding work. Check your ram useage and ram pressure. If it’s close to maxing out the 8gigs then it may be worth it but at the end of the day only you can answer that question.
