Hello.

I bought my Macbook Pro 13' in late december.
Its the baseline model with 2,4 ghz.

But is it worth to update to the new baseline?
Im a school student, and uses my macbook everyday at school. Like Evernote, Office and so on..

I also play some world of warcraft. So, in the 2011 model, there is a weaker GPU, so i dont know if its worth it if i play like i do.

I bought my 2010 for 7999DKK (1000 off). And the 2011 is 8999DKK.

Im thinking about selling for 7500DKK and spend the rest.

But what do you guys and girls think?

Thanks. And sorry for my english.

damm dont know what to do... I can put it on the danish ebay, and see if the price fits me? Can live with spending $150 on upgrading.

I would keep the one you have now and upgrade when they release the redesign in 2012.

This is what I am going to do, I see no point in spending extra money now to effectively upgrade the processor.

My 13" 2010 MBP has 8gb ram and handles everything I throw at it with ease

For the extra money it's doubtful you'll realize any real world difference with what you're using your computer for.

Therefore once you got the 2011 you might look back and think it wasn't worth the extra price and effort in selling the 2010.

Waiting for the redesign would be your best bet.

(I'm from Kolding by the way, missing Denmark very much!)

I was considering the same thing as you, but I agree with the other users. There is not much to be gained in work or game performance with the low end core processors. I am waiting for 2012 and I recommend you to do the same.

If you want, go to newegg and lookup some ram upgrades to hold yourself over. I got 8GB (2x4GB) for $100 a few months ago.

That's pretty much what I did, 8gb for £75. Can't grumble at that. The wife will inherit this one when I do upgrade next year (assuming the redesign happens)

Thanks all.

I think ill just keep.

I'm 17. and have a tight supply of money.
I earn about $13 after tax a few hours at a supermarked so i dont spend alot.

But i think we all have that feeling to have the "newest"..

I agree with most on here ... keep the one you have (it is still a great laptop)

save your money and buy a new one in a couple of years from now

Go to an apple store and complain enough for them to replace it for free. If they exchange it don't bother. Not worth it at all.

Thanks buckwheat987.

Apple OC, did you upgrade yours? :)

Funkymonk: We dont have Apple Stores in Denmark. Only "Apple Resellers" Could be fun to complain, but i feel like i have nothing to complain over
