Is it worth trading a mini for a iPad 2? I don't really use the mini out of the house so the portability won't affect me, I'm looking at it as I don't have a bigger screen at house, I don't have a laptop or MacBook or anything so the bigger screen would be nice for me. But I love the design of the mini but would love a bigger screen for around the house.

Your choice and preference
But personally, I wouldn't

I would sell it and buy what I wanted before I made that trade

I wanted to trade for an iPad 3 but no one was interested even with me throwing cash, but yeah I feel like I shouldn't do it since its a 2 year old device

It's not worth it! The internals are similar, but you lose portability and you can't use Siri on the iPad 2.

I have the iPad 2 myself and I would trade it for a mini any day if someone was interested. But only a sucker would accept such a deal, I think.

The Mini is basically a small iPad 2 and since the smaller size isn't a killer feature for you its basically a parallel trade. The benefit of people thinking the Mini is so much better than the iPad 2 is that you could probably get a higher capacity iPad 2 for your Mini, or even an iPad 2 + money. I'm with you, I never had a problem taking my 2 places and sometimes I miss my 2's larger screen.

I wouldn't do it. The mini has better cameras, Siri, and the Lightning connector. Performance-wise, they're equal, but the mini is generally better and likely to be supported for longer.
