Worth upgrading from 2011 MBA to rMBP?

From 2011 13-inch MBA to a 13-inch rMBP. Could use the added battery life and the retina would be nice, but don't want to take the (perceived) performance hit that might come with driving such a high-res display. The Air runs fine for my needs, but would be good to have something better...

Any thoughts?
