I have a 16gb iPod Touch, and am wondering about 'upgrading' to the 32gb version.

This may be a silly question as 16gb is fine for my storage needs but are there any other differences between the two apart from the 16gb not having a rear camera and a touch loop? Read differing specs on the 32gb version like it has the A6 chip rather than the A5 - or was that a typo on the sites I'd read it on?

If I was you I'd up grade, especially if you play games, better processing

Wrong. They both have the same processor - the A5. Neither has an A6. The only differences are no camera or loop on the 16, one color choice, and no rear camera.

Sometimes think I fancy a camera on the Touch but really can't justify the extra cost just for a fancy loop and a 5mp camera when I've the 8mp one on my iPhone. Might stick with the 16gb Touch then if all the other specs are the same, perhaps wait then for the next gen Touch to be released :)

Smart dude. I'm doing the same thing. I'm not a picture person, so no need for a camera, and I think the loop is tacky. I have been very happy with the 16GB model. If you're looking for a 16GB-specific case with no camera or loop cutouts (which are hard to come by), I recommend the Belkin Neon Glo. It's done an awesome job protecting my device:

I do like taking pictures, but always have my phone with me for that anyway so no big loss.
Cheers for the link, looks a good case but will have to see if its available in the UK :)

I really can't see the Touch being upgraded anytime soon.

all same specs, same chip

just the buttons on 16gb are plastic. They could have brought in ALS to the 16gb since there is empty space when rear cam removed but no!!! this apple taste bad and very expensive.
