I do have some questions that I figured you guys could help me out with.

I just purchased my first mac ever(macbook pro) for college about a month ago. I am finally getting settled into the new OS and am enjoying it, after using Windows my whole life.

My question is that is it worth it to upgrade to Leopard? The 10 bucks means nothing to me for a supposed sleeker version of the OS. I know that there are some compatibility problems with some third party apps but I have yet to use any on the list that I inspected. Since it is just an upgrade all of my information and downloads will stay on my laptop when I upgrade, correct?

Basically what are the advantages and disadvantages?

If you bought it new your running leopard already. the next update is Snow leopard which comes out in september and I would get it. you don't have to install it right away but for 10 bucks you might as well buy it.

Wait, so you can purchase Snow Leopard right now?

I checked, I am running the 10.5.7 version of Leopard.

Thank you.
