The LED screen has since made its way into the 17" MacBook Pro as a $100 upgrade and the MacBook Air as a standard part. In fact, the MacBook Air's LED display has been noted to be particularly bright compared to the rest of Apple's laptops. Meanwhile, even though the next MacBook revision is expected in the 3rd quarter of this year, MacBook customers may have to wait until 2009 for LED screens.

i was thinking of buying macbook pro but i liked macbook better because of portability now this

If you have a nice computer, wait. If you need it now, choose a form factor and go for it. Plan B; Get a refurb macbook now (watch a few days for the right one, they come and go), consider a revision later.

Multi-touch isn't as big of deal as I thought it would be. I have it on my mbp and never use it other than to resize desktop icons when I get bored. The iPhoto rotate button is just so handy I already have it clicked by the time i think about spinning my fingers in circles. I kind of felt cheated when they advertised the two finger scroll as a "New gesture." I think it will be worth waiting though, just so you don't kick yourself later. Even if nothing comes out, the only thing you have lost is a couple months of waiting. My advice: don't check macrumors everyday because it will only intensify your urge to buy! haha
