I do a lot of reading on my iPad and today I was trying to read my digital newspaper on my iPad in the park but the glare made it quite difficult to read. I'm not sure if this is due to the glossy glass screen or the actual iPad display or a mix of both. Either way I need a way to be able to read my iPad in bright sunlight.

Would a matte screen protector type thing be helpful? Can anyone recommend a particular brand/style?

Thanks

i have been using a cheap matte screen protector of ebay on my iPad1 for a year now. it works quite well. the screen quality for goes down a bit but the advantage of matte outweighs it for me. reading gets much much better. glare outdoors is much reduced and brings the iPad in some situations from unusable to quite ok to read.
