Would a Viewsonic PX-747 be a downgrade from my Panasonic

Would a Viewsonic PX-747 be a downgrade from my Panasonic AR-100u? The Panasonic is lcd based with a higher contrast ratio. Will be projected from 10 feet away on a 100 inch screen there is sometimes some light in the room.
