Your link isn't going to work - can't share something that's in a shopping cart.
As long as the phone isn't locked to a carrier and the SIM is a micro-SIM (so it'll physically fit), then you should be ok.

Yeah it is a micro-sim, and I'm buying the phone directly from Apple for the full $1050, so I assume its unlocked?

Yes, iPhones bought from the NZ Apple Store are unlocked. Will work on Vodafone, Telecom or 2Degrees.
