Just got my reminder to renew mobile me from apple, so had a look on ebay. Found this listing. would anyone here buy this way? Even if it's cheap I don't like the idea of giving out my password to anyone, let alone some faceless seller on ebay.

That seller is selling a sub-account from MobileMe; not only does it violate the TOS of MobileMe, the seller (as the master account) can delete your account at anytime without consequence or permission from you (hence it's a sub-account).

In other words don't buy it.

I don't know alphaod, this seem s completely legit to me.

If you already Have an Account and need it extended, change your password to something like 123abc and email me your credentials, within a few minutes i will activate your account for a further 12 months.

A search should answer your question:

Buy it if you want it that bad, can't afford the $60 (average) price tag for your own account, don't care about your privacy, and would like to wonder one day why you can't get to your account because the master account holder can control your sub account no matter what.

Thanks for those links Jessica, the last one that mentiioned CEX looks good I think I''l buy from there. £52 for a family pack sounds pretty good.

Subleasing a mobileme account can lead to a world of hurt - in the end, the master account holder can simply delete your account and you're out of luck. You'll be much happier with your own.

Please excuse me but I find it absolutely insane to even consider this. To put yourself at risk for a few bucks. Then to post it here to have someone explain it to you makes you sound a bit well..... you get the picture. I mean really, come on and think about what you are asking.
