Ok. So I have a white macbook. And I love the thing. I have had it since May. But a few days after getting it, randomly it started taking a very long time to shut itself down. Close to 3 minutes sometimes. I found it strange but I thought it was normal. Then my finacee got a macbook as well, and hers shuts down in 15 seconds, and it still does it after a while of having it.

Second, the hinge of the lid is weak and on top of that, it lines up not quite perfectly. It seems to be just about a cm off.

Is there anything Apple would do to help me out if I brought it to the store/called them.

I don't think they would do much in the store, seeing as it isn't a store model, I upgraded the harddrive, and also the RAM, so they would have to send it out to get it replaced correct?

Thanks!

if you are near the store..just go..the worst they will say is nope cant help you...

Thanks for the advice! I'll try to do that before I leave for College!
