Would apple release a new iphone in October again?

I have watched the July 16 Press Conference yesterday. Mr. Steve Jobs said there will be free bumper for every iphone 4 consumer until September 30. Does it means apple will release a new iphone again in October:confused::confused:

Should I buy one now:confused:
 
It means as you said that cases will be offered for free until September 30. After that they may or may not continue with the offer. Other than the white iPhone later this month, there won't be a new one until summer.

The only time Apple released another model was in the original and that was to release a 16GB in February of 2008.
