Would apps work on a unlocked 2g iphone-vodafone sim.

hubby wants to use my old 2g iphone but we arent sure wether we can get apps onto it if it doesnt have an o2 sim.
He has vodafone.

Not sure what you mean by "getting apps" onto it. The App Store comes with firmware 2.0 and above so there'd be no issue there. You can Jailbreak it for unofficial apps as well.

The app store will still work regardless of the network you're on. You'll have to unlock it for him to use his Vodafone sim though.
