Just wondering would it be possible to have all the apps I have on my iphone 4 to be on the ipad?

is it the same in terms of snycing? do I just connect to my mac?

Got an iphone 4 and thinking about getting an ipad for my birthday.

iPhone apps can sync and run on an iPad just the same.

The only thing you can't do is run iPad* apps on an iPhone.

edit: I meant iPad ONLY apps.

Excellent

So I would be able to just snyc them onto the ipad from my mac? without having to re-download and pay for them?

Just note that apps that have stored data on your iphone, like a game, won't have the same data on the ipad. You'll have to start them over.

Wrong. You can if they are universal apps.

Universal apps are great, but I wish there were more of them. I have no problem with people charging more for an iPad version, but it would be great if the more expensive app worked on both the iPhone and iPad. I usually just stick to getting the iPhone version only, or finding a different app that comes with both.

So this is what I was wondering....If an app says it is for iPhone and iPad, does that mean you download it once, but it has it's own optimized look and function for iPad and iPhone? For instance, it looks like there is only one twitter app on itunes, but it says it is made for the iPad and the iPhone, and on the pics it has a different design for each the iPad and iPhone.

Correct, there's two different sets of the graphics in the app and it detects what device you're on and uses the right one.
