Would I be able to get apple to send me out a new macbook pro if they have a magnetic latch like macbook? Why am I asking this? Well the latch on the macbook pro is really weak and not meeting my standards and the shell is opening + A hook is hanging.

This had better be a joke. Your e-mail would get sent around Cupertino as the Joke-of-the-Month.

So your telling me. Because my shell is coming off they wont do anything about it + The fact they will stop making the old shells.

They keep old parts stocked for a long time. If you have numerous issues, they might replace the entire MBP, but odds are they'll just replace the case.

And the latch. My sister got a macbook today and the latch was strong. If the lid is closed and and is facing up the hooks just pop out.

BTW working on 17'' penryn 2.5GHz macbook pro

The latch is part of the case. They will simply fix the issues with your machine.

Yes. They never replaced my old iPod because they stopped making it.

Well if they wont fix my latch and plus its under warrenty apple your going to court as consumer rights. Anyway I know someone because their wi-fi signal dropped out got an entirely new computer

They WILL fix your latch, but you're not getting a brand new computer out of it. Apple will simply replace the broken latch with a new one. Just because they come out with a new model doesn't mean that they can't service the old ones accordingly, which is well within the warranty spec.

Nice try though.

Oh, and people with wifi drops don't get new machines. Apple'd be replacing machines right and left to every joe-schmoe who lost a signal. Maybe if the wireless was a problem in a long string of problems, but not on its very own.
