All iPads Would i laptop be a better option instead of my ipad2?

Im thinking of selling my ipad for an HP laptop. Its a HP laptop AMD A6-4400M Accelerated Processor with AMD Radeon HD 7520G graphics.
I use my ipad mainly for Web, social apps, youtube and some gaming. I want to get a laptop for the same above reasons and to also do my homework. Ipad does fill my wants and its awesome but ive never owned a laptop before and i think it would be more useful. What do you guys think?
Also if i dont get a laptop i might just upgrade my iphone 4 to a 4s for the same reasons above.

Not worth it to upgrade from 4 to 4S it's just a speed upgrade. Get the 5 if your going to upgrade your phone. As well, you may just consider getting a Bluetooth Keyboard for your iPad, pretty much will give you the same functionality as the laptop.
