I have a Macbook Pro C2D from 2007 and im going to be formatting it since I'm goin on a trip soon.. I have the Leopard disk and also a Snow Leopard disk that was shipped with my Mac Pro from 2009.. would it be ok to install Snow Leopard on the macbook pro? Would i be violating anything and is it even possible?

The grey Mac OS X install disks only work with the model they shipped with.

Duff-Man says....this question gets asked and answered all the time - in addition to the disks from the Mac Pro being "keyed" to that machine, the license agreement is for a *single computer* so you would be violating the license agreement if you installed on the additional computer (even if it would work)....oh yeah!
