I don't know anything about them, but I am highly skeptical of any company touting it's own products.

If you want a 2.0 system (no sub) and want something that looks similar to that, I highly recommend the Swan M200's. There is only one place to get them (here), but they are the real deal (I own a pair) and they sound terrific. It seems they are on sale too, I paid $300 for mines a few years ago.

Check out Logitech's Z-5 speakers. They are a 2 piece omni-directional set that sound really good and they come with a wireless remote.

I am just looking for better sound clarity with my MP3's I have already reripped them into applelossless and need more.

I'm not trying to insult your intelligence or anything, but... you're saying that you imported the songs from a CD... again... but at a higher quality this time, right?

Because if you're saying you just took the mp3's and tried to upscale them... that isn't gonna work so well.

I reripped them from the CD, I wouldn't dare do it the otherway it would be worthless.

I'll have to check them out. I did more research on this other company and apparently they used to carry swan a few years back.

AV123 makes probably one of the best buy direct from the internet speakers out there for the amount of money you pay.

I'd ask on a dedicated AV forum rather than on MR.

Do you have an amp to run the speakers to? Note these don't plug directly from your iMac into the speakers, however they are indeed very good. With the Gizmo that is included, it is a very good deal!

I used to have these for my desktop..

They bring out a good soundstage, etc, for the money.

AV123 is not a scam..

dr. shdw,

Thanks for this! This helps out quite a bit. I am definately leaning towards the ELT525 due to my space restrictions. I also appreciate everone else's input.

I'd go with Logitech speakers 2.0 or 2.1 speakers. Cheap, loud, and quite good quality. If you want surround sound Logitech speakers on a Mac, you'll need to find a model with digital/optical output.

I highly disrecommend purchasing these. Look into, as the poster above said, Audioengine, or, as I would recommend, the 2007 budget product of the year from stereophile, the PSB Alpha line. Link below. I purchased the 2008 revision, and have never experienced such a clear soundstage for the price. Good luck with your decision.

You might as well get..

I run these, http://www.infinitysystems.com/home...BK&ser=PRI&Language=ENG&Region=USA&Country=US

since they were cheap at Fry's ($129? each) and they go even cheaper sometimes to $99 each. If you have the room...although they are indeed very bright.
