Because of my "fruity" computer employer I cannot legally post and contribute to discussions so I can lift my status of newbie. I can't post to the MarketPlace which is where I'd love to right now. Does anyone know of a mac friendly site that I could get some feelers for some items I'm ready to part with.

Thanks,

Here as well...
I got it for you guys.

While at work, he can't post on Macrumors b/c his boss has limited the websites that they employees can visit on company computers, hence he can't get his post total above 100 because he can't visit Macrumors to post. He needs his post total above 100 so that he can sell in the Marketplace, per the Marketplace guidelines. Since he can't sell in the Marketplace, he's inquiring as to any other Mac-related sites where there isn't as stringent of posting guidelines. He wants looser posting guidelines so that he can post feelers/FS threads for his hardware.

:)

it's not that his boss has limited the sites he can visit on company computers but that he can't post here from any computer because he works for apple. and so can't make the required number of posts to allow him to use marketplace.

My interpretation was that Apple is his (her?) employer. I agree with the suggested sites, and don't forget craigslist.

Isn't the OP also saying that s/he works for Apple? (aka "fruity" computer company)

Well, I'm still correct aren't I? ;)

"While at work, he can't post on Macrumors b/c his boss has limited the websites that they employees can visit on company computers...to post..."

That applies if he works for Apple as well. :)

Of course you're correct. They've just imposed a requirement for mods to post once per day in non-mod threads, and so I fulfilled my requirement here. Had I waited a few hours until tomorrow to reply, I'd've been set for then with this post as well. Damn.

Fruity = Apple!

Wow! That in it self is the best joke of all day!!! :p

Yeah.. its been a slow Monday :D :rolleyes:.

precision, my colleague to be, is important :D

No doubt, that's why my statement, "on company computers" still rings true. I didn't say that encapsulates the entirety of where he may post, just that it could be one location :)

arguing your point even though you weren't entirely accurate .... good..good...i like it!!

Speaking of which, I start working part-time for said fruity company on Monday :)cool:), so my MacRumor days are quickly drawing to a close. :(
