You don't get the slide up animation but you can just use activator and set one of the gestures to open up the camera. For example, swipe up from bottom of screen (or swipe statusbar or double tap statusbar.. plenty of options).

Why have that when activator - double click from anywhere, or whateveryou want can load straight into the camera?
There's better tweeks available now then what will be in 5.1

Thanks, my point exactly. Makes no sense to me but to each his own. Is it the EXACT same thing? No. Is the end result the same? Yes. Me, I'd rather press a camera icon on my Lockscreen than worry about sliding "up" at the correct angle.

Opening the camera app vs. opening the lockscreen camera are 2 different things. The speed is faster for lockscreen. Setting up a gesture to open the traditional camera is slow.

Current version of Activator, 1.6.1:

"Use lock screen camera interface instead of real camera app when locked on iOS5.0".

I have activator set to open the camera with a short hold of the sleep button. It beats apples slide up gesture in speed and coolness.
