My dad's computer has imovie 11 installed for some reason, and i was wondering if it would work if i just copied it over to my computer to replace my imovie 9. Or would i have to buy it off the app store?

Copying commercial software that you did not purchase is considered piracy.

You'll need to purchase the application.

Your dad has iMovie 11, probably because new computers have iLife preinstalled.

Any further discussions on copying software like this is not permitted by our rules.
