I have a 2019 MacBook Air base model (1.6 GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD). I have edited videos on this machine in the past, but never more than a 10 minute - I remember hearing the fan start up when I was exporting a 1080p video that was 10 minutes in length.

I am now tasked with editing a video that is 720p and around 45 minutes in length - I'll only be adding a title or two to the video and this task is only once per week. I'll be using iMovie for this task and the editing should only take 15 minutes at most. The exporting, however, may take a while with this hardware configuration. I'm assuming the exported video won't be larger than 5GB in size. I'm not too concerned about the time it takes to export, but I am concerned about the potential damage to my MBA. I'm assuming the fan will start, but will the machine overheat and shutdown?
