Would phone be activated if updated after terminating At&t.

Hi, my I had a 3G iPhone since launch day activated with At&t. Less than a week ago I terminated my contract, but phone remained activated. Will I be able to update to 2.0.2 with activation bypassed?

That worked for 2.0 to 2.01, I'm trying it now for 2.01 to 2.02, but it's still backing up. Otherwise I'll have to reactivate using my wife's legit iphone plan provisioned SIM.
