Would powder coating been a better way to go?

I came over this norwegian thread suggesting this. Would that prove more scratch proof, or am I completely off here?

a powder coat finish would have been stronger but the coat is much thicker than an anodized finish. its about the thickness of a single layer of paint if im not mistaken.

Powder coating adds thickness. Powder coating is more durable than paint, but it's not more durable than ANODIZING.

Powder coat wild also act as an insulator and affect antenna signal.
