It should work very well! Not sure how much quicker they are compared to 'normal' HDD's though.

yeah that's what I'm wondering...they make it sounds really good but that's their job, hence I turned to the experts...all of you!

I have an older (500GB) version of one these drives. It works very well, I've seen a big improvement over my old hard drive, however, I have never used a SSD so I can not compare it to that but I'd imagine SSD is much better.

Is this compatible with an early 2011 15 inch model?

Also, how does this compare to the Crucial M4 SSD?
(I hear SSDs only have a 3 year life span)
