Looking to upgrade RAM from 4GB to 8GB in a 2010 MBP. The RAM is a DDR3 module, which the laptop supports ofcourse. But, its at 1333mhz speed, as opposed to the max of 1066 that the computer supports. I came across a 8GB ram set for $20 ( DDR3 1333mhz) and I want to make sure it would work for this computer. Also, I know this works in a 2011 MBP, would it work in a 2012 as well? (despite the 1600mhz speed)? Thanks.

It will work in a 2009 MBP a 2010 MBP and a 2011 MBP, I have a 2009 MBP which runs two 4 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM modules, Mac OS X even recognises them as such.
I don't know about using that in a 2012 MBP though, normally it shan't.
