I got one of these Macs from ebay for my young kids to use for internet access (nick jr, disney, that kind of stuff). It only came with 256mb or ram so it desparately needs an upgrade. PC100/133 ram is getting so expensive its almost not worth buying it anymore. But I just came across this, seemed like a great deal if it works.

edit - guess I could have read the description a little better. Says "will not work in Apple machines." Why is that?

The description even says that the module is limited to very specific chipsets (all listed are PC x86 chipsets, BTW).

It probably won't work for a couple of reasons....

- Some G3s don't support high-density memory chips.

- Memory timings. Macs are picky about this.

Check out OWC. They still sell memory for the G3 iMacs and they're a bit cheaper than Crucial.
