G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Laptop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBSQ

could someone let me know this RAM work with MBP...i am about to order this for the new mac..but a bit worried on compatibility issue

Yes it should work. I bought this RAM for my 2011 MBP but still waiting for the MBP to arrive so tested the RAM in my late 2010 MBP.

Similar question;
I've got 2 4gb RAM modules lying around here (from my old PC laptop) but I'm not sure what kind of RAM it is.. i think it's 1333mhz DDR3, but I'm not sure. two questions with respect to this situation;

1) Could it hurt trying? Could putting the wrong RAM in a machine possibly damage it?
2) What kind of RAM would perform best?? Is 'DDR3 1333mhz' the best choice, or would 'DDR3 1600mhz' perform (noticeably?) better?

Thanks in advance for your insights
