OK, I have an account with Verizon but I allow my brother to use it for the last 2 years. It has unlimited data with an Iphone 4 on it. I used AT&T, but now switched to Verizon with a new line (but not on a Family Share plan since I didn't want to mess up the other line's unlimited data.

The old line contract ends in March. I don't want to allow my bro to continue bc he's made late payments in the past quite a few times.

I am offering him an Iphone 4S on Verizon someone is going to sell me for $200, I will give to him for free, and then I take over his number and thus the unlimited data. I guess I'd have to have Verizon switch the new phone to the existing number?

Then in March I'd cancel the new line I just opened and eat the ETF as a cost of doing business and getting unlimited data.

Would that work?
