Hey everyone, I own a sprint HTC hero. My dad pays the phone bills, but in an effort to save him money, I was wondering if switching to an iPhone 4, or even just the iPhone 3gs would benefit him. Being 15, i'm realizing I should be doing my part to help save money, and I just saw that the minimum monthly charge for a sprint HTC hero is $99/month. All other companies aside, I am a firm Apple enthusiast, so switching to an iPhone for the first time would be incredible. I was just wondering if anyone knows if they have better deals regarding their phones. Thanks!

well on a family plan, the iPhone costs $10 to add a line, then $15-25 for data, then $30 for unlimited family text. So depending on how many minutes your family uses, it could be a good deal. But you wouldn't save any money if your contract with sprint isn't up yet because of etf fees.

A saving of $40 per month (assuming the $55 / mo plan) would pay off EFT relatively quickly.
