Thinking about buying a Mac Pro on eBay.

They offer a couple types of warranties ... "Square Deal" and "N.E.W. Warranties."

I've only seen the "N.E.W. Warranty" posted in conjunction with one particular Mac Pro sale.

The "N.E.W. Warranty" specifies as follows:

One year of product protection
100% parts and labor costs covered - no deductible
24x7 toll-free customer service
Quick repair turnaround
A "No Lemon" Guarantee so that if your product requires more than three repairs, N.E.W. will replace it for FREE

"Square Trade" seems to require a bit more reading to understand the terms.

Has anyone here ever bought one of these warranties, and if so do you regard them as being worth while or not?

Square Trade isn't eBay warranty. It's a third party company that offers warranty on eBay. They can offer you warranty on stuff you buy from used stores elsewhere as well. It's actually pretty good. I've use it on a couple things and they're pretty quick on repairs and stuff.

Good to Know ...

Like I said, I've never seen this so called "N.E.W. Warranty" deal associated with an eBay sale before.

Have seen "Square Trade" warranty offers on most everything computer related that I've looked at.

Probably best to stick with what's been tried & tested in this instance.

Appreciate knowing that you've used the "Square Trade" and found it helpful.

Thanks ... :)
