...and how much would you be prepared to pay for it incl. packing and shipping especially if you knew that they were a limited edition?

Definitely not saying these will be available or that this would be the final design but just posting this to gauge possible interest.

On a side note, I know there would be all sorts of demand for other merchandise but for now, I'm just talking about an MR coffee mug.

This has been long talked-about way before you were even on the scene but thanks for bringing it up again. And no, you wouldn't get some points kicked upstairs... ;)
 
With reservation on price and shipping cost across the North Sea (round £7-8 each at the most?), I'd get two, maybe three. :)

Edit: Excellent, though very nerdy, Christmas gifts if they're cheap enough... :D

Edit: If they go for more than £10 I'd might have to do with one...

Wouldn't it be a better idea to make it a poll? You will get more answers and in a nice neat readable graph.
 
$10-$15 range, though perhaps up to $20.

Much depends on the quality and size of the cup (I like the cup pictured). Color choices would be nice.
 
I personally wouldn't get one but I think around $10-$15 USD plus shipping would be a good price.
 
I think it looks cool and I would be willing to spend $10-15 USD on one. A choice of colors would be great, too.

It's all fairly airy speculation at the moment but no, no demi/contributor status. Just the mug.

If I could get it for under US$20, then definitely. If much more, then maybe not. But probably.
