I have a 2015 MBP 13" for my travel machine, and a built gaming desktop that I don't game much, and want to get rid of it for something MAC side to game when I rarely need too, and use the O/S I like which is Mac.

Would the MBP 15 be powerful enough to do everything as one machine to replace my current MBP and desktop as one? Or should I get the iMAC Pro and keep the old MBP for portable duties still?

Very hard decision. My current workstation is a beast with the i9-9900k processor now and it really heats up this room with it's water cooling radiators. I honestly don't need something that powerful. I would like to get the 5k screen though, so I would purchase it.

I'd go with the iMac Pro, its much faster then even the newest MacBook and you have a great laptop already for traveling.
From what I've heard the new iMac Pro is extremely quiet as well, even under full load, and very cool so it won't heat up your house.
