I've never heard of that brand before. Check out Crucioa's pricing and remember to add shipping costs and stuff in when you compare.
As for will the memory help? It depends on what you are using the mahcine for. For iTunes, Mail, Web browser and a word processor, it probably won't help that much.

You probably won't notice the gig unless you're running something like photoshop where you've told it to use a certain amount of your ram.
As for the brand...I dunno I mean what is the worst that can happen? It just won't work, you'll know why, take out the stick and all will be well.
