Now that the now iPhone V4.2 is coming out soon... would you give up jailbreak for it right away?

Or you'll wait for the jailbreak update?...

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

+1

NO :eek::eek::eek:
I don't get it, if you are JB now, you can get all the new and other SMS tones....why upgrade and lose the JB for that??? :confused::confused:

Exactly my thoughs, I have a custom SMS tone already, no way Im losing my jailbreak for a couple new features. I will happily wait until the new jailbreak is released. Next summer when iOS 5 comes out, thats a whole different story....

I usually switch back and forth between jailbreaking and normal every 2 weeks (currently jailbroken), so I would probably end up giving it up for 4.2.

4.2 jailbreak already exists - the only problem is cydia doesn't work, so I'd update AND jailbreak :)

I will insist on my PSM answer...

WRONG... 4.2 JB can't exist since 4.2 firmware doesn't exist either...

4.2b JB exist,,,,,and 4.2GM JB exits.... (and possible 4.2.1GM JB also) ;)

I just jailbroke my phone yesterday so I will say... NO for the new update for now. Enjoying my new phone

Create your own and SSH them into your phone. You can have whatever you want as your SMS tone if you're JB'd. No need to wait for 4.2

Or use ToneFXs or BiteSMS (which gives you more customization options, like being able to assign custom text tones to individual contacts). Exact instructions for the method listed above are available with a search of the Hacks forum.

In which folder the tone goes?

I'll update my iPod Touch to 4.2 right away, but not my iPhone. 4.2 offers nothing I really need, so there's no reason to give up the jailbreak.
