With the rumours of a new iMac taking design cues from the iPad Pro's flat edges and sharper corners, and the new iPhone 12 renders also showing the iPad Pro squared edges - how would you like it if the new Apple Watch Series 6 went for that design cue to match all the other devices?

I wouldn’t be a fan, and I don’t think it’d be too comfortable or look that good. Think of what the iPod Nano 6th gen looked like on wrists.

I personally love the current design of the watch and don’t feel the squared off edges would look that good.

I would not purchase it. The squared off edge of my 2020 MacBook Pro was the reason I purchased a leather case that covers the palm rests. I am always rubbing the edges and they feel sharp. So design a watch with squared off edges - no. I will be sticking with my S5 until they change back - if they go that direction.

This is my biggest complaint with my MacBook Pro as well. I have a 2012 model but it still has sharp edges along the palm rest.

I really think this will actually happen. Feels like apple want design consistency.

Not a good idea with ‘squared edges’. The end result would be snagging on long sleeve shirts, whereas with rounded edges, it allows long sleeves to glide over your wrist without any type of ‘catching‘ on the Apple Watch due to the rounded design.
