Would you live near a cemetery? In a month, I am going to move to a house near a cemetery and I want your opinions. I don't know if I should feel scared or what. Would you be scared? Do you even care if there is a cemetery? Thanks in advance.

Three years ago we found a really nice apartment out near a cemetery. My dad wouldn't do it.

So now we live in the second really nice one, but not as nice. This ones on a main road, and right next to the train tracks :s.

Its hardly beautiful scenery, but I don't think i'd mind. My dad however?

Eventually you'll live IN one, so what's the difference?

I used to live next to an old abandoned coffin factory, that was quite cool to explore in the daytime, and very cool in the nighttime.

If I were a spirit I would be totally bored roaming around houses near the cemetery. I'd haunt houses really far away where people were not expecting it.

Personally, I don't mind.

I find that the Japanese are somewhat superstitious. For example, about 15 years ago I was looking at renting an apartment in Roppongi (in Tokyo).

Normal rent was about 3,000 per month. The apartment was small one room type. Apparently, the person who lived there died in their sleep. So they dropped the rent to around 800 per month. Almost bit, but decided to live out in the countryside instead for about the same price and a much bigger place.

Hell no! Didn't you guys ever see Poltergeist?

Hmmm. That sounds like motive. If you see a place you like, you just need means, opportunity, and an ironclad alibi. :)

I would not.

not because dead people bother me but the living ones.
going there, crying and such.
just too much negative vibes from them.

I used to like playing in abandoned graveyards.
wouldnt mind living near one of those.

Is no one here afraid of zombies? When the zombie apocalypse is upon us the undead will start from the cemeteries. Not a good choice to live there. Btw, keep a baseball bat and a machete near by at all times.

I really hate you for bringing that up. ;)

That is a scary movie because it lingers in your mind.

Snort. May have to look into that. :D

There are many little cemeteries around where I live. Basic family plots so they are small, say maybe 10 x 10 feet. Of course there are large cemeteries as well.

I wouldnt want to have one right off my backyard, but living near one wouldnt be so bad.
