So just wondering if you guys would be willing to pay $100 per year for a developer app store. It would essentially be like a jailbreak except its through apples own store where devs can create tweaks and enhancements for free or paid. Just curious cause i know i would and im sure a lot of people would considering many people dont like jailbreaking since it voids the warranty

I'm not sure I understand this post right, how would any tweak/enhancement work without the access jailbreak provides?

Or are you suggesting a hypothetical where Apple provides this special store for $100?

yes. But only for people who pay the $100 p/y. Just like the Dev account

Nope

Jailbreak. Contribute to Cydia. Use the Developer setting inside the Cydia app to see what everyone else has contributed. Save $100.

Apple will NEVER allow what you're suggesting.

It would be nice but if it ever happened it would become restricted such as apps auto delete after 90 days etc once testing is completed. In theory it would be any easy way to beta test apps and ideas but it would have many controls over it.

No. I like several jailbreak tweaks and don't mind buying them, but not for $100/yr.

i know they will never allow it, just an idea. I have spent hundreds on cydia apps and am fine with that. just wanted to see if anyone would do it for the customization

If this were a viable idea, I might be interested. But purely from a speculative viewpoint, I can't get behind it.
