the air's screen is plenty bright. not everyone needs fast refresh rate. for a lot of people, a bigger screen is indeed better. i'd even argue the six speakers of the 15" air is at least as good as the speakers on the 14" pro.No. Bigger screen does not mean better. MBP display is higher res, twice as bright, and 120hz. You will notice a difference. Speakers are also much better on the MBP than MBA.
Only you can decide if that's a tradeoff worth it to you.Apple's trade-in for my 14 MBP M1 is $700. Would you take that and get 15 MBA M4?

if you need fast refresh rate, if you watch a lot of hdr content, then maybe the macbook pro is for you. if you need a bigger screen, and the 15" is appreciably bigger than the 14", then go for the air.
