So, I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012).

Only used for some website development, emails, browsing, pages etc...nothing fancy e.g. Photoshop.

Now if Apple release a new MacBook Pro, thinner and a better screen "HD Retina" i'd probably upgrade.

Am I mad, anyone thinking the same?

I wouldn't

Well I wouldn't but that's down to you. It's not going to happen anytime soon though so no point worrying about it.

In your case, probably not.

Only you can decide that, but the Mid 2012 is a nice machine and you're unlikely to see giant gains if you upgrade.

The 2012 should last you a good long while.

I agree with the others. Since you already have retina, there isn't really a benefit to upgrading unless your current machine is giving you issues.
