I'm just saying and want to hear your opinions. Should they keep the 4 design, go back to the 3GS, or get another new design?

Personally, I'd like it to go back to the original design

Are you kidding? The 3G/3GS design sucks in comparison, the new design feels much more sturdy. Like a real piece of hardware (that it is). The 2G wasn't too bad either but I love the current design.

Do I want a re-design for the next phone? - it's impossible to tell without seeing it. I never 'wanted' a redesign in the iPhone 4 but loved it once I saw it.

This sums it up.

Aw, I thought the original 'looked' like a phone, and the current looks like another cell phone. But, that's just my opinion.

I love the look of the iPhone 4. I would be very disappointed if they reverted back to the old design...the 3G and 3GS look so outdated in comparison.

This. I might not mind a tweak on the design of the 4 (obviously won't know til I see it) but no way in hell would I want to see them revert to the old design. Bleh.

Love the iPhone 4. Don't want to see the old models make a comeback honestly. I love the look and feel of the current model. Nice quality.

With all the investment made in the prototype machines to make the steel band, I doubt Apple is going to change the the overall design. Maybe they'll address the antenna issue with the new alloy they purchased but I believe the the overall design will look the same as the iPhone 4.

Seeing as how Apple insisted on designing their own bumper case for the current design, I think the current design will last at least two cycles like the 3G/3Gs.

Frankly I could do with less thinness and more battery life and better antenna reception (including GPS). This is one of the reason I have held off on getting the iPhone 4 - I'm hoping the next model will be a little more practical.

It's close for me on which is a better design, the original or the 4. 3G/S was pretty bad, I'd probably say stay with the 4 design until Ives comes up with something better.

Hopefully something with glass on one side only. The 4 looks good, but I prefer functionality to form.

I don't have any real complaints with the iPhone 4; it's the best design they've made thus far.

The new iPhone will probably just have some internal upgrades - faster processor, better cameras, better battery, and so on. Think 3G to 3GS. The shell of the phone will probably look almost exactly the same.

Besides, if they were going to design a new device, they probably wouldn't have just released a universal bumper case.
