Leather appears with a patina from use. Woven fabric gets dirty!
Yeah a lot of people have had problems with the FW cases. I guess I’m lucky, mine still looks new after two months
Wow. If the FW case was $20 I'd say no biggie but at $50 that's not cool.
I’ve used mine normally for a month and a half and it looks almost like when I bought it and certainly nowhere near like that so I have to say: define “normal use”.
Like, no way it got this way in your jeans pocket.
Lucky, or maybe you don’t use your phone to clean bathroom floors. Because I swear people always claim that “regular use” thing, and then it turns out that “ok, so I dropped it 20 times, but it was rarely in the mud and almost never ran over it with a car so, you know… normal use.”
Are you a mechanic or a tradesman? Cause dang, that case looks beat to h*** and back. What is normal use to you? 😳😳
No case necessary. Never used a case since original iPhone 4gb. Definitely not about to start.
I'd love to use my phone without a case, but iPhones are slippery as h*** and it just slips out of my hand without a case unless I hold it for dear life.
In Germany these are 69€.

Normal user here, whatever that means 😉. My case is fine after two months, so is my wife’s case. Really curious what was done with the case above.
IMO the case is nice when it comes to the feeling, something new, but I really hope that Apple will make it more durable in the future.
Apple's leather cases didn't age any better than that. I should know, since I bought one two months before the September keynote.
Even at $20 I’d say I could have spent the money on something better* - like my silicone case that I got when it was reduced on Amazon.
*this is assuming that “normal use” indeed makes it look as awful as this. “Normal use” in my case would be “pulling it out of and sliding it into a pocket, holding it in my hand, putting it on tables and my night stand”.
My friend - it is dirty, worn out and faded, but you are safe in the knowledge that it has been partly manufactured with recycled materials, and will one day end up back in a landfill arguably quicker because, ironically, it looks like trash.

My Apple Leather case looked way better after two years of use! FV cases suck!
If Apple continue selling these next year with the new devices I’ll be surprised, they are one of the worst products they’ve released for the cost.
Not sure about leather cases from iPhone 11 series or newer but I have two Apple leather cases for my old iPhone X and they still look great...
Ya… the crap Apple has been shelling out lately isn’t new. Quality products are from a generation gone by.
I find it ironic that Apple, supposedly a company that is so concerned with the environment, does so much to add to landfills.
I don't see the problem. Sure it's dirty but so what? It has character. Maybe it's not worth $50, but there are other good options for cases.

It’s sad when an Apple employee tells me to avoid it and just go case less specially if you have Apple Care. She made valid points 🤷🏻♂️
